Cancer Patient Services offers FREE services to assist you and your family of caregivers to cope with the effects of a cancer diagnosis. Cancer Patient Services has partnered with professional counselors in the area with a variety of backgrounds and experience to offer you emotional support. Clients of Cancer Patient Services are eligible for up to 12 FREE sessions.  Please call 419-423-0286 for more information on these services or you may contact the providers directly to make an appointment.

  • Jeff Vogel is a highly qualified professional with over 30 years of EAP and counseling experience, serving as the Director of ProMedica Employee Assistance Program. He holds a license as a Profes-sional Clinical Counselor (LPCC-S) and is a Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP). 
  • ​Jeff's expertise includes treating families, adults, married couples, and adolescents, addressing a wide range of mental health and substance abuse issues. He is particularly experienced in working with victims of abuse, individuals struggling with depression and anxiety, and parents dealing with problem behaviors.

In addition, Jeff has received training in group crisis intervention from the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation (ICISF) and has extensive experience conducting and supervising community mental health/substance abuse crisis intervention and emergency pre-screening services. 
  • Jeff is also a seasoned trainer, delivering training programs on various mental health and Employee Assistance Program related topics. As an administrator at behavioral health agencies, he has provid-ed clinical supervision, developed policies, conducted quality improvement processes, engaged in recruitment, and fulfilled fiscal duties. 
  • Finally, Jeff is a passionate advocate for EAP services and served as the Treasurer of the Greater Toledo Employee Assistance Professionals Association. He is also actively involved in the National Employee Assistance Professionals Association and EAP's in Healthcare support call.

  • ​Kristine is a Licensed Professional Clinical counselor and also a Licensed In-dependent Chemical Dependency Counselor. She has 35 years of experi-ence in her respective fields. 
  • Kristine enjoys working with the variety of issues that a client may present in treatment. She works well with clients who have mood disorders and life changing issues. She also feels with her experience and compassion she can help people work through grief, relationship, and personal issues. She utilizes a cognitive-behavioral approach in therapy to help clients meet their goals. 
  • Kristine offers services M-F until 5pm and is available evening hours on Weds.

  • Kevin Rigg is a highly experienced and licensed Independent Clinical Counselor (LPCC) and Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor (LICDC) in Ohio. As the manager for ProMedica EAP, Kevin is a dedicated and Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP) with over 29 years of expertise in EAP consultation and clinical counseling. He is also a qualified Substance Abuse Professional under the Department of Transportation (DOT) guidelines. 
  • Kevin's knowledge and skills extend to developing and providing training sessions on various subjects, as well as providing consultation in diverse settings such as corporate, industrial, municipal, and healthcare sectors. He has received formal training in the Mitchell Model of Crisis Intervention Management and is a trained facilitator of the Mindfulness in Motion pro-gram, developed by The Ohio State University. 
  • Apart from his professional commitments, Kevin is a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who enjoys reading and is an ultra-marathon runner. His passion for fitness and wellness is reflected in his work, where he is known for promoting a holistic approach to mental and emotional health. Overall, Kevin Rigg is an accomplished EAP consultant and clinician with a proven track record of delivering effective support and counseling.

  • Laura’s current focus of treatment includes anxiety, depression, self-esteem, gender/ identity concerns, trauma, addiction, grief, life transitions, and marital/relationship issues. She utilizes a holistic approach to therapy and maintains a strong focus on the individuals’ strengths.
