Cancer Patient Services has been dedicated to improving the lives of cancer patients who live or work in Hancock County since 1946. It is our goal to help fill the needs once a person has been diagnosed with cancer.
CPS offers financial assistance, nutritional supplements, prescription reimbursements, patient navigation and supportive and complementary therapies.
You are eligible for all of the services provided by CPS if you have a cancer diagnosis and you live or work in Hancock County. All services are provided free of charge after grants from the United Way of Hancock County and The Community Foundation to provide these much needed services. CPS relies on memorials, bequests, fundraising by friends, and grants from the United Way of Hancock County to provide these much-needed services.
CPS Services Include:
Nutritional Supplements:
Boost & Ensure drinks, Ensure Pudding and diabetic friendly drinks available as needed.
Ostomy Supplies:
pouches, barriers, other accessories
Incontinence Supplies:
Pull Ups, Briefs, pads, under pads, disposable washcloths
Wound Care:
Bandages, dressings, gauze, tapes and gloves
Medical Equipment Loan:
Lift chairs, canes, walkers, wheelchairs, shower seats, bedside commodes, toilet seat risers, hospital beds and lift chairs.
Wig Bank:
Beautiful wigs and head coverings donated by a generous donor.
Financial Assistance:

Available to help sort and understand bills and confusing insurance paperwork and to provide compassionate care and support. Educational materials and internet access available to clients and their caregivers.
Individual Counseling

Healing Arts which include Massage, Reiki, and Art Classes are open to people with cancer and their loved ones.

- Reimburse for chemotherapy and other cancer-related prescription medications.
- Reimburse for mileage to and from cancer related appointments.
- Reimbursement for cancer treatment out of pocket expenses after the insurance has paid for example: chemotherapy, radiation.
